Only Revolutions is on my reading list. I'm preparing myself for the anguish everyone keeps warning me about.

And I think "hot fuck" should be used to describe more literature.

I work on bio thingys detection for a living - h1n1 is very worriesome. I will forego a protracted discussion of flu/virus species and mutations. Needless to say, "The Stand" presents a viable, although extreme, scenario.

A long time ago (27 yrs), I quit smoking. I was a 2-3 pack a day smoker by the time I was 21 - Newport 100's, puctuated by those unfiltered clove things. When I got bored or went out drinking, I smoked even more. In order to quit, I went cold turkey for as long as I could stand it - about two weeks. When I could stand it no longer, I chain-smoked until I passed out. Probably a mild nicotene poisoning. I was probably flirting with a tachycardia. When I gained conciousness, I puked my guts out for the rest of the afternoon. And then I was done smoking forever.
