Bought my first camera for a buck (12 exposures of film included!) and learned a lot from that chromatically abberated, plastic lensed, 126 film hunk o' junk. There is much to be said for the mental discipline that develops learning to use simple cameras to good effect (not to mention, the economical mindset that obtains in order not to go broke buying and processing film ;).
