Without realizing yesterday was Sunday, I missed posting Sunday Smut!

Khyd is a hopeful that contacted me just as I moved to NYC, and convinced me that her building in New Jersey was totally worth the train ride out there. She was absolutely right – the building was a giant, old hospital, and full of amazing rooms like the poker room that we shot in.

Let’s hope Kyhd becomes a full fledge Suicide Girl soon – vote on her set!

2009 : In Member Review

2009 saw many of the sets that I shot for Suicide Girls hit the front page as officially published sets, but there are also plenty still in Member Review! Some girls were archived over time, some girls took their sets down, and some sets just weren’t what SG was looking for at the time. Each time I shoot a set, I learn something new, so I take each effort as a learning experience and to develop new techniques and stylization.

2009 has been a busy year in photography for me. This has been the first full year I’ve worked as a Staff Photographer for Suicide Girls, and I have been very fortunate to have a number of my sets make it to the front page of the site.

Sunday Smut : Still Smutty, Even on a Monday

I am been terribly negligent of this blog the last month. Sometime, in the not so distant future, I will post an update filling everyone in on what’s going on, but for now, I give you a hearty dose of Smut!

Charm : Ghostly

Ghostly was the third time I’ve had the chance to work with Charm. She always gives me the reign to shoot her completely raw and unhinged, and I feel that she really brings a lot of emotional impact to all of her modeling. A lot of comments were left regarding her recent weight loss, and I’d like everyone to read the journal entry she put up on Suicide Girls in response to it.

Adalae : Sunny Side

On one of my final days in Los Angeles (more on that another time), Adalae, Otter, and I took over Milloux’ house for a few hours and shot Sunny Side and Cheap Monday. Adalae and I decided to use the window in the dining room area as our only source of light, so that it was all a soft, warm glow. It did create a few pesky shadows in some shots, but I feel like it showed off her sweet side.

Otter : Cheap Monday

Otter and I went for something completely stark for Cheap Monday. No makeup, no props or themes, just Otter. I really love and appreciate when a model can pull something as simple as this off, because when she is the only focal point, it’s easy to be intimidated. Otter was able to fill each frame with an enormous energy, not an easy thing to do.

Here is Opaque, in Fiery Eyes, and YES : More from Vegas, and from the days prior to having a full frame sensor. The poor girl had literally just walked in the door from the airport, and I grabbed her and pulled her into the bedroom saying “I am shooting you, now” rather forcibly.

Sunday Smut : Yellow & Green

Nya, Posh, & Zoli in Absinthe

A touch of the green fairy for you all, which personally, I think smells and tastes like Scope infused gasoline. We shot this on the never-ending Vegas trip last February, on Valentine’s Day, a strange day for me. After receiving the news that Lou had passed, wrapping the Love Spell shoot, and feeling the first hints of the Death Plague, Absinthe started rolling. This, like the other filmed shoots that week, were really quite difficult to shoot. I was at the mercy of staying out of the film crew’s way (and frame) while they were filming, and could only jump in for close ups between their takes. It didn’t turn out exactly the way I had envisioned it when I pitched the proposal, but considering the circumstances, it came out far better than I had expected.

The half empty bottle of Absinthe wound up in my room the rest of the week, and much to the bellhop’s surprise, he was tipped with it when loading my car with my luggage the last day.

ToriBell : Time Waits for No One

ToriBell and I shot Time Waits for No One not too long ago, in a hotel room a bit north of Los Angeles. The room had the typical boring beige decor that hotel rooms typically do, and since she has such a timeless sort of beauty to her, I asked Cherry to color treat the images to match her anachronism.

Moxi’s set, All You Need, is one of the last remnants of Vegas left. We shot on the very last day of the trip, and the guilt I felt being that close to someone while in the state I was in was epic in its enormity.

Goths in Hot Weather? Yuh – huh. Nixon and I shot this when I went to visit her last month while we were out walking around in the Albany Bowl. I like lens flares, and also have absolutely no idea what I am doing shooting outdoors. Actually, I have no idea what I am doing outdoors, period, since not only am I allergic to fucking everything, but I dislike the dreaded Day Star.
