Oh, yes, indeed : MOAR FROM VEGAS. It will never end. Yes, it was fucking freezing in the loading bay of the empty furniture store where I shot Snow. Yes, it was very late and had been a very long day. Yes, I am aware that 90% of the shots from this set are from the same angle.

Rambo : Wedding was shot in separate parts, first in the loading bay, then a few hours later in the bathroom & hallways of the hotel, and even later, in the casino of the Hard Rock. There was much running back and forth, there was Death Plague, there was a very exhausted me.

A tiny bit of trivia regarding Rambo’s set : the dress she is wearing was Meow’s wedding dress, and the corset was from mine.

I love Bully. I love her love for dinosaurs. I would love to shoot Bully again without the horrible panel lights that Sean and I were experimenting with. I would also love to shoot Bully again when I have had more than 2 hours of sleep the night before, but that might be asking for too much.

Here is Opaque, in Fiery Eyes, and YES : More from Vegas, and from the days prior to having a full frame sensor. The poor girl had literally just walked in the door from the airport, and I grabbed her and pulled her into the bedroom saying “I am shooting you, now” rather forcibly.

Nya, Posh, & Zoli in Absinthe

A touch of the green fairy for you all, which personally, I think smells and tastes like Scope infused gasoline. We shot this on the never-ending Vegas trip last February, on Valentine’s Day, a strange day for me. After receiving the news that Lou had passed, wrapping the Love Spell shoot, and feeling the first hints of the Death Plague, Absinthe started rolling. This, like the other filmed shoots that week, were really quite difficult to shoot. I was at the mercy of staying out of the film crew’s way (and frame) while they were filming, and could only jump in for close ups between their takes. It didn’t turn out exactly the way I had envisioned it when I pitched the proposal, but considering the circumstances, it came out far better than I had expected.

The half empty bottle of Absinthe wound up in my room the rest of the week, and much to the bellhop’s surprise, he was tipped with it when loading my car with my luggage the last day.

ToriBell : Time Waits for No One

ToriBell and I shot Time Waits for No One not too long ago, in a hotel room a bit north of Los Angeles. The room had the typical boring beige decor that hotel rooms typically do, and since she has such a timeless sort of beauty to her, I asked Cherry to color treat the images to match her anachronism.

Moxi’s set, All You Need, is one of the last remnants of Vegas left. We shot on the very last day of the trip, and the guilt I felt being that close to someone while in the state I was in was epic in its enormity.

Sunday Smut : JoLeigh & Tina

It’s been a busy week, hence the lack of blogs here on 523. Lots of shooting, Twittering (I’ve become mildly obsessed with Twitter), lots of catching up on Lost, spring cleaning, celebrating Courtney Riot’s birthday, and lots of work on Haute Macabre. Proper recaps and updates soon, but for now, I’m watching Eddie Izzard on BBC-A and thinking about pie.

I shot JoLeigh while we were in Las Vegas, last February. She got all sorts of naked (well, maybe one sort, since there only seems to be one sort of naked), on the kitchen counter of the house we were filming in that day. Lisa, the home owner, said she eats dinner off that countertop every night and would never look at it the same way again.

Tina and I got together while she was in L.A. and shot this set, which feels like soft 70′s style to me. In retrospect, I wish I had done a lot of things different with it and went even more 70′s style low-fi. Regardless of that, Tina is one of the more interesting models that I’ve had the pleasure to work with. She is a leading lady in the bondage film and performance industry, a gallery owner, and is spearheading the feminist porn movement under the alias Madison Young. I am looking forward to reading her book when she finishes writing it.
